This is always a special time when we begin to pack our shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. Every shoebox gift is an excellent resource for evangelism and discipleship which leads to the multiplication of new believers and churches around the world. Now through November 22 we will be collecting shoeboxes. You can fill the boxes with small toys and hygiene items. Boxes will be available at the church on Sunday mornings and during office hours. For more information go to the OCC website
On Nov. 21, The Bread of Life Food Pantry will provide our client families with food for their holiday meal (this is addition to the usual pantry food)
You can help by donating the following now through November 14
STUFFING INSTANT POTATOES
CNNED YAMS CANNED FRUIT GRAVY
TURKEYS (Turkeys will be collected through November 21st)
Donations can be brought to the pantry
Wednesday 1 – 3pm Thursday 7 – 8pm
Once again through the Food Pantry we will be providing gifts for our clients’s children. We are asking for monetary donations that will be used to shop for the gifts. (Checks can be made out to Epworth UMC and noted as Angel Tree)
A wish list has been created on Amazon if you prefer to pick something from the list. The name of the list is Epworth Angel Tree.
We are also asking for small items that could be used as stocking stuffers. These can be dropped off at Epworth during office hours or at the food pantry.
Our goal is always to provide a wonderful Christmas experience for those families that may be struggling with the basics of life. If we share a little love and kindness it ensures the light of Christmas will continue to shine brightly through the darkness.
